A billion Acts of green is the slogan of Earth Day 2011. Dating back to 1970 when it was launched by US Senator Gaylord Nelson, and 1990 when it first pushed through internasionally; Earth Day falls on April 22 every year in response to our planet's worsening condition and what we can do to make it a better place to live. Various 'go green' activities campaigned this time of year, along with debates on whether or not they matter to the earth as people tend to follow hype and forget to continually go green later on. Kermit of Sesame's Street catchy one-liner "it's not easy being green" sums it up efficiently, even though he was talking about his skin color. All arguments aside, along something 'green' on Earth Day could be a start, rather than doing nothing, for us to give back to Mother Earth. So. let's start making a difference this year, honor our planet, save some energy and heal the world!
